FNK-AUDIO-004 · Sound and devices
No device for your translated voice
Foniks needs a virtual audio cable to carry your translated voice into the call app, and none is chosen.
How to fix it
- Install a free virtual cable if you have none: the setup guide in the app links to it.
- In Foniks Settings, set Send my translated voice to the cable.
- In your call app, choose the other end of that cable as the microphone.
On a Mac
- Use BlackHole 2ch in Foniks, and BlackHole 2ch as the microphone in Zoom, Teams or Meet.
On Windows
- Use CABLE Input in Foniks, and CABLE Output as the microphone in Zoom, Teams or Meet.
Still not working?
In the app, open the menu and choose Run diagnostics, then Copy results, and email them to hello@foniks.ai.
