FNK-AUDIO-009 · Sound and devices
Foniks cannot record this computer’s sound
This computer’s sound needs a system permission that Foniks does not have, or your system does not support it.
How to fix it
On a Mac
- You need macOS 14.6 or later.
- Open System Settings › Privacy & Security › Screen & System Audio Recording and turn on Foniks.
- Quit and reopen Foniks.
On Windows
- This computer’s sound needs no permission on Windows. Restart Foniks, and if it still fails, use a second virtual cable (CABLE-A) instead.
On Linux, use a second virtual cable for call audio instead.
Still not working?
In the app, open the menu and choose Run diagnostics, then Copy results, and email them to hello@foniks.ai.
